Experience
Sworn auditor and member of the Estonian Board of Auditors since 2008. I have been involved in auditing and accounting since 1999, including 13 years working at the international auditing firm Deloitte, 3 years in the network’s Estonian office and 10 years in the Colombian office. In addition to my work as an auditor, I have participated in many consulting projects related to the practical implementation of international accounting standards. I have also been involved as a practitioner in various accounting training courses for nearly 15 years, both in open training courses and in graduate studies at higher education institutions.
I am currently participating in the work of the IFRS expert group of the Baker Tilly international network.
Areas of interest
I see the work of an auditor as creating peace of mind for the client, where, through the peer review of an independent expert, companies gain a sense of security that financial accounting processes and activities provide an adequate picture of economic reality for all users of economic information. Good communication, transparent explanations and correct flow of information between the parties create the pre-requisites for the entire audit experience to be pleasant for everyone involved.
During my career, I have been fortunate to have close professional contact with most economic sectors, currently I have a special sympathy for companies of new economy and we try to be useful to both large and small entrepreneurs by serving them with the same focus, regardless of size or industry. In our portfolio, we serve Estonian, English and Spanish-speaking clients.
Miscellaneous
Since I have lived on several continents for a long time, I am interested in contacts between different cultures, their similarities and differences, both in theory and practice. Health sports and good food are two important keywords for spending free time; they always unite and elevate the mind and body.
